Get Back on Track at Talladega Superspeedway

TALLADEGA, Ala.: After more than five weeks away from the track, the ARCA Menards Series roars back to life this Saturday at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway for the highly anticipated General Tire 200.

For Jason Kitzmiller and his A.L.L. Construction team, the third race of the 2025 season arrives at just the right time.

The 76-lap battle on Talladega’s high-banked 2.66-mile oval promises the same thrilling, pack-style racing that opened the season at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Back in February at the “World Center of Racing”, Kitzmiller steered clear of trouble in the Ride the Dente’ 200, charging from 24th on the grid and drafted to a career-best third-place finish.

Now, the veteran driver returns to superspeedway competition, aiming to replicate that success and secure his second top-five of the season in one of the ARCA Menards Series’ marquee events.

“We’re looking forward to getting back to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend,” said Kitzmiller. “Phoenix didn’t go how we hoped, but we’ve regrouped and put in the work to ensure we’re prepared.

“Our goal is to contend for another strong finish — and just as importantly, to earn some much-needed points for the championship.”

Kitzmiller is set to make his sixth ARCA Menards Series start at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend. In his five previous appearances at the iconic Alabama track, he’s earned one top-10 finish — an impressive eighth-place result in his 2020 debut after starting 20th.

Since then, he’s added three top-15 finishes to his resume, though his most recent outings at Talladega haven’t gone as planned. Now, the seasoned veteran is determined to flip the script, just as he did earlier this season at Daytona, and keep his family-owned A.L.L. Construction team in the thick of the ARCA Menards Series championship battle.

“I know what this team is capable of, and we’ve shown speed at these superspeedways before,” added Kitzmiller. “We just need to put ourselves in a position and be there at the end. If we can do that, I truly believe we can walk away with another strong finish — and keep our championship hopes alive.”

In his pursuit of a 10th career top-10 finish in the ARCA Menards Series, Kitzmiller will once again need to charge forward from mid-pack. With no qualifying session scheduled, the starting lineup will be set by 2024 car owner points, placing Kitzmiller near 25th on the grid.

“I’m feeling optimistic about starting mid-pack this weekend,” Kitzmiller said. “It’s a familiar situation—qualifying was canceled at Daytona, too, and we managed a strong result there. I believe we can do the same at Talladega.

“Thankfully, Talladega is a little bigger than Daytona, which gives us more room to work with. I plan to take full advantage of that. The safest place on track is up front, and that’s exactly where I intend to be.”

For Talladega, Kitzmiller and Co. welcome Carter Machinery, promoting the Caterpillar (Cat®) brand as the primary partner aboard his No. 97 Chevrolet SS.

Carter Machinery’s humble start began in 1928, serving Virginia and southeastern West Virginia. As our customers’ needs changed over the years, we evolved by continually adding new products, services, and locations, with exponential growth occurring after our 2020 acquisition of Alban Tractor Company.

We sell, rent, and support the full line of Cat® equipment, engines, and electric power generation systems, backed by the best parts availability, most diverse rental fleet, and an expert service team working together to enable our customers’ highest level of success.

Our ongoing investment in people, infrastructure, technology, and tooling continues to position us as one of Caterpillar’s leading dealers in North America and throughout the world.

“We’re thrilled to have Carter Machinery back on board for Talladega,” said Kitzmiller. “They’re a great example of how strong business-to-business relationships can thrive — from the job site to the race track.

“We came close to taking them to Victory Lane at Daytona, just two spots short. Believe me, we’re going to give it everything we’ve got to make up for that this weekend at Talladega.”

In addition to Carter MachineryA.L.L. Construction Inc., Grant County Mulch, A&J Excavating, Cobra Mining, Champion Power Equipment and Volt Battery Technology will all serve as associate marketing partners for his 30th career ARCA Menards Series start.

Entering Talladega, Kitzmiller, 51, sits sixth in the ARCA Menards Series championship standings, eight points behind fifth-place Andy Jankowiak and 33 points behind leader Brenden Queen, with 18 races remaining.

The A.L.L. Construction Racing team also holds a solid sixth place in the championship owner standings.

Since 2020, Kitzmiller has made 29 ARCA Menards Series starts, earning one top-five and nine top-10 finishes, including a career-best third-place finish at Daytona International Speedway in February 2025.
